Hi! Thanks for coming along... here's some bits and bobs about me.

I'm a writer, currently living in Manchester, and...

 

                     ... my work-in-progress novel Build Her With Green has just been longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction Discoveries 2023 award! This is wonderful and unexpected, and I'll be continuing to develop the piece with Curtis Brown's mentoring course with the other longlisted authors. 

 

Although I'm beginning my journey towards prose, the core of my experience is based in script writing and working with theatre companies to devise, develop and evolve scripted plays that use movement, puppetry and live music, creating work for both young people and adults.

 

Over lock down, I was extremely honoured and excited to take part in a writer's residency with Inn Crowd and the National Centre for Writing.  I'm also the co-founder and resident playwright at award-winning Sparkle and Dark Theatre Company and resident screen writer at Tate Creations.  I'm a graduate of the Arcola's Consenting Adults writing group and in 2022 I completed a Creative Writing MA at the University of Manchester, gaining Distinction.
